Sleep Apnea

Quality Sleep = Quality Health

Energize Your Life

Sleep helps keep you healthy by giving your body a chance to pause some functions while enabling others, such as cell regeneration and healing, to continue unimpeded. If you’re not getting quality sleep, you may also not be getting its reinvigorating benefits. One cause of poor sleep is sleep apnea. Snoring is a common symptom of sleep apnea that causes issues beyond noisy evenings. When you snore, the soft tissues of your mouth have collapsed on your airway, causing you to temporarily stop breathing—often multiple times each night. The short-term results are poor concentration, headaches, irritability, and a lack of energy during the day that can impact your social and professional endeavors. What’s more, chronic sleep apnea has been connected with serious systemic issues that can compromise your medical health.

The team here at Veneman Dental Care is well-equipped to treat your sleep apnea in St. Croix Falls and Woodville, WI. With training from Dr. Steven Olmos’ acclaimed TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre, we can correct the issues that cause your sleep apnea, help you avoid more serious complications, and empower you to get a good night’s sleep that will leave you feeling energized!

Effective Treatment Is Here

Our approach to sleep apnea treatment follows the proven techniques and protocols of Dr. Olmos. We’re proud to offer TruDenta®, a comprehensive, medication-independent treatment that relieves sleep apnea symptoms, migraines, headaches, and TMJ disorder, in our practice. For this treatment, we’ll bring you in to one of our offices and have you undergo digital occlusion analysis using our advanced T-Scan™ technology from Tekscan. During this visit we’ll connect you to monitors that will show us the range of motion in your head and neck and allow us to detect any issues with your jaw movement and function. From there we can help you relax your head and facial muscles using ultrasound, facial massage, and, in limited instances, mouthguards. You’ll soon begin to see the connection between quality sleep and good health for yourself!
